Any chance your running something in the optical drive? Open it next time the noise appears to make sure the drive itself isnt making any noise. Humor me and pop the keyboard up and blow out those fans with some compressed air and as the air turns the fans listen for that noise. It could still be a fan a slight wobble or debris inside that makes the blade or housing come in contact every so ofter causing a high speed chirp. I've never heard it in the first few hours after turning the laptop on. There is no pattern for it - it just comes and goes, but I think it's more likely to occur during long-period use, let's say 4 hours +.

I have never heard it when turning on the laptop or loading Windows. The sound just starts at a random point during my gaming sessions.
