I'm pretty sure String of Maggots also supports acid while being an aether converter. Deception of Dreeg set and the Scion of Bitter Winds both convert vitality and support acid. The shield doesn't support acid per se but adding retilation damage (which a lot of acid or poison supports or provides) is useful and the other modifiers alone are almost a must in any DE build I've tried. With the gear attached to this theoretical build, I have 95% conversation in aether and vitality (one of them relies on constant Blood of Dreeg but that's easy) so i don't think farming conduit is all that important. Thanks for the criticism but I'm not sure too much of it makes sense if I'm honest. What you could also consider, is dropping DE entirely, dropping Necro for a class that properly supports Acid damage and use the skill on this component instead. One more thing to consider is that a lot of the gear that might work for such a build leans towards Oathkeeper as a second class, rather than Occultist, but I haven't looked closely enough to be sure which would be better.Įven if you manage this, I think that a lack of cast speed and Acid damage % will bite you. There are plenty of options that might be better fits. It might be possible if you use greens(with very specific rolls), but then you'd still need to convert the vitality damage to acid. Įven with that, I'm not sure that there is enough gear to support acid DE, much less to incorporate retal mechanics into it, since cast speed and acid damage are pretty low.

If you want to do this at all, you will need the conduit for the aether conversion.
